Lebron James, MVP

Monday, May 4th, 2009

Lebron James - Cleveland Cavaliers Today’s announcement came as no surprise to anyone who has been following the NBA this year. Lebron James is the MVP.

There are plenty of reasons why King James collected 109 out of 121 first place votes. He led the Cavaliers to the league’s best record (66-16), which was also a franchise best, securing home court advantage throughout the playoffs. The Cavs were 39-2 at home, and will have that edge in every playoff series this year. He averaged 28.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 7.2 assists per game.

Saturday, January 24th, 2009

I typically post an update on the Cavaliers every so often. That’s because it’s hard to keep up with the team living in Kentucky. I usually have no choice but to read the recaps and watch highlights. I never get to watch a game. Until tonight.

And So It Continues

Wednesday, October 29th, 2008

The Cleveland Cavaliers opened the 2008-09 season last night in Boston against the defending champs. The Celtics celebrated their title by passing out championship rings to the players and hoisting banner #17 to the rafters. They also began the defense of their title by beating the Cavaliers 90-85.

Of course, this was provided a good excuse for sportswriters to again talk about Lebron James leaving Cleveland.

Is It That Time Already?

Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

The Cavaliers played their first preseason game tonight. Kind of snuck up on me. I didn’t realize it until I saw the final score on ESPN.

So the Cavs lost to Toronto 104-84. Not a big deal. It’s the preseason. The preseason’s not for winning games. It’s to get ready to win games. After all, look at the Browns. They lost their first seven preseason games this year.

Wait… you mean those weren’t all preseason games? Did someone tell the coaches?
