Ohio State beats Navy, 31-27

The Ohio State Buckeyes opened the 2009 season at home, barely holding on to beat unranked Navy.
Were it not for Brian Rolle (pictured) intercepting Ricky Dobbs’ 2-point conversion pass and returning it into the end zone for 2 points, the game would have been tied and Navy would have had the chance to steal the game.
This game was closer than it should have been. Yes, the Midshipmen are a tougher opponent than the Buckeyes usually open the season against, but that is no excuse. Here are the Buckeyes, ranked #6 in the country, opening the season at home against an unranked opponent, and they barely got away with a 4 point win.
Next week’s prospects against #4 USC are not looking very promising after this (if they even were before). By the way, the Trojans won their game today against San Jose State 56-3.
This season already feels like it’s going to be a rough one.
