Mo Williams, Delonte West - Cleveland Cavaliers

There goes the hope of a Cleveland championship. Maybe next year…

45 years and counting…

There is Another Cleveland Team Playing Now

Thursday, May 28th, 2009

Victor Martinez - Cleveland IndiansI know, I know. With the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference finals after finishing the team’s best regular season ever, and with the Indians terrible start, the Tribe has been ignored. Rightfully so.

But now it looks like the Indians could be turning this season around. Tonight they completed a 4-game sweep of the defending American League champion Tampa Bay Rays. The team improved their record to 21-28. Still not good. But 6.5 games back in the mediocre A.L. Central.

Four games is not enough to say the team has fixed their problems and could now be a contender. But it is a step in the right direction. Next the Yankees come to town for 4 games. Let’s see if the good play will continue.

Cavs beat Magic, 112-102

Lebron James - Cleveland Cavaliers

2 more wins to get to the Finals.

2 reasons why the Cavs won this game:

  • Lebron got some help: Mo Williams (24pts), Zydrunas Ilgauskas (16pts).
  • The Magic’s 3 point shooting came back to earth (32%, as opposed to 45% in game 4).

Next stop, Orlando. Let’s see if they can keep this going.

Cavs are One Loss from Elimination

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

Lebron James - Cleveland Cavaliers The Cavs lost again tonight to the Magic, going down 3-1 in the series. Sure, it was another close game (116-114 in OT), just like the loss in game 1. But that doesn’t change the fact that Cleveland now has to win 3 straight against a tough Magic team or else they’re done.

How did it come to this?

Hope is still alive.

Cavs lose to Magic, 107-106

Lebron James, Dwight Howard

Still have 8 wins to go for the title.

Or 3 losses to go for another disappointment.

Which is it going to be?

I will say this, after a tough loss at home in game 1, this should be a good series. Too bad all the games are on cable so I won’t be able to watch them.
