Grady Sizemore Home Run After losing 2 of 3 to the Royals in Kansas City last week, the Tribe came home and evened the season series between the two teams.

Tuesday, with home runs from Grady Sizemore and Victor Martinez, and the defense turning a double play in six straight innings, the Indians won the opener 8-7.

Wednesday was a tough loss. Cliff Lee pitched a really good game, allowing 2 earned runs over 8 innings. Unfortunately the offense managed just 5 hits and was unable to score, giving the reigning Cy Young award winner Lee his third loss, matching his loss total from all of last season.

Then today, Grady Sizemore knocked in the winning runs on a 3 run homer in the 8th inning. The Indians won 5-2.

Cleveland is now 6-10. Still in last place, but only 2.5 or 3.5 out of first, depending on the outcome of the Tigers’ late game tonight in Anaheim.

Next up… weekend series at home against the Twins.
