Cavs beat Warriors, 106-105
January 24th, 2009 at 2:01 am by Displaced Cleveland FanI typically post an update on the Cavaliers every so often. That’s because it’s hard to keep up with the team living in Kentucky. I usually have no choice but to read the recaps and watch highlights. I never get to watch a game. Until tonight.
After getting the kids to bed, I found the game midway through the 3rd quarter. I got to watch the Cavs battle through a tough game against a determined Golden State team. Fortunately, the one game I’ve seen so far ended with a Cleveland win.
Lebron James scored 32 points. Of course that sounds good. But to be honest, there were times toward the end of the game that he was a little frustrating to watch - missed shots, poor shot attempts, airballs, turnovers. It was ugly for a while.
But who do the Cavs turn to when they’re down by one and have time for one last shot? Lebron, of course. And what does he do? He throws up a shot with 0.1 seconds left and drains it. Sure, his play was sloppy for a short time. But with the game on the line, he delivered.
I really like watching this team. It will be nice when Zydrunas Ilgauskas and Delonte West are back. But this team is going to the playoffs. And right now they look like they’re going to have a legitimate shot at going to the Finals. Hopefully everyone can stay healthy. And hopefully the games will be on network TV instead of cable so I can watch them.

Glad you got to watch such an exciting game. Sometimes I think LeBron plays sloppily to gain the excitement advantage! (Not really, but he sure seems to pull off the hero status in many games like that!) Where did you find it to watch?

I don’t like to watch them, but I enjoy listening on the radio!
