Ohio State beats Illinois, 30-20

That’s the number of rushing yards Ohio State had against the Illini. Chris “Beanie” Wells ran for 143 yards. Terrelle Pryor added 110 on the ground. The running game was so effective that Pryor only had to attempt 10 passes.
The defense played well enough. Sure, they gave up 455 yards. But they came up with two big turnovers. They also added a safety on a blocked punt in the 1st quarter.
So now the Buckeyes are down to their final game next week against Michigan. Of course, anything can happen. But you have to like the Buckeyes chances against the Wolverines. It’s a home game, which is always a positive. Plus, Michigan has been awful this year. Right now they are 3-8. That 8 losses is the most they’ve had in a season, ever. One of those losses was at home to Toledo. Ohio State should win this game.
If Ohio State does beat Michigan next week, we’ll just need Michigan State to beat Penn State. If that happens, the Buckeyes will be Big Ten champions and will most likely be heading to the Rose Bowl.
And in case you missed it, check out this highlight of Chris Wells hurdling an Illinois defender today. Amazing.
