Playoff Predictions

It’s playoff time for Major League Baseball. The Indians are out, but that doesn’t mean we have no interest in what happens. (OK. Maybe some of you have no interest. But I do.) So who’s going to win the World Series this year? Here are my playoff predictions:

Divisional Series

  • Tampa Bay vs. the winner of tonight’s Twins/White Sox game - The Twins and White Sox were supposed to be battling for 3rd place in the Central this year, not first place. So ultimately, I don’t know that it matters who plays Tampa. Rays 3-1.
  • LA Angels vs. Boston - The Yankees finally missed the playoffs. The New Yankees will go down early like the old ones last year. Angels 3-1.
  • Philadelphia vs. Milwaukee - The Brewers are rollin’ and CC is the man. Brewers 3-2.
  • Chicago vs. LA Dodgers - The Cubs look too good this year. The Dodgers won a pathetic division. Cubs 3-1.

Championship Series

  • Tampa Bay vs. LA Angels - Sorry, Rays fans. Your team had a great run. But not enough for the World Series, at least not this year. Angels 4-1.
  • Milwaukee vs. Chicago - 3 starts from Sabathia + 100 year (and counting) curse = NL Pennant for Milwaukee. Brewers 4-3.

World Series

  • LA Angels vs. Milwaukee - CC starts to wear down and the Angels are just really good. Angels 4-2.

So there you go. What do you think?
